A brave mother buffalo fought off three adult lionesses after they grabbed a calf from a herd of buffalo and was about to eat it. The war took place extremely fiercely on a large piece of land in northwestern Tanzania, East Africa.

However, the mother buffalo is still very brave when protecting her child, making the predator a little hesitant.
