37-year-old environmental consultant Keith Raine and his wife Tracey were lucky enough to see this in the Dinokeng Game Reserve and document it.
This bird often uses the tides to find food, like the white dove. This is a carnivorous bird, their favorite food is snakes.
Birds have exceptional eyesight and can spot any potential predators or dangerous animals, such as cats, snakes, etc.
Usually, when they actually detect a threat, they raise the alarm by making a lot of noises. Thus, warn others and also give the location of the threat.
Keith told LatestSightings.com of their experience: “During a weekend camping trip we came across this herd of storks and a starling attacking an immature boomslang. It was fun to watch!”
The snake had reached the lawn, where the birds had retreated. But it has lost both eyes so there is no hope of living!
