In the wild natural environment, animals have to compete fiercely for survival, especially predatory animals that have a lot of enemies and competitors. These guys just need a “stumble” to be ready to punish and turn their opponent into a “meal” in the blink of an eye.
As high-ranking predators, it is difficult for lions and wild dogs to coexist peacefully in the same habitat.
While driving, Clark and other tourists came across 11 stray dogs, three of which were engrossed in eating the carcass of a boar. Wild dogs stood near the right side of the car.
Clark saw the lioness approaching. The predator suddenly sped up and caught a stray dog in the herd.
The wild dog was stunned by the lioness’s attack but kept moving its tail, possibly to let the pack know it was still alive. The remaining wild dogs quickly surrounded the lion, barking and leaping forward.
The lioness drops the dog in her mouth and leaves her prey in the blink of an eye. Realizing that the prey jumped up and ran away, the lion rushed to chase but could not catch it. The wild dogs continued to circle around until the lion found a space to escape.
